KIDS-ON-CAMERA's PURPOSE

OUR PURPOSE

"I believe the children are our future ...
teach them well and let them lead the way.
Show them all the beauty they possess inside.
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier..."

Michael Masser & Linda Creed
The Greatest Love Of All

KIDS ON CAMERA, established in 1981, is a personal development and acting training that serves young people by improving their communication skills, self-esteem and confidence. Through our unique curriculum, kids use VIDEO FEEDBACK as a tool to discover more about themselves. Video feedback reinforces the student's self-image and accelerates their learning and growth.

We provide an environment where students learn to take risks as performers and as people. The curriculum is designed to benefit both the actor and the non-actor. We create a feeling of personal freedom to overcome a child's apprehensions and reduce the natural fear that they will be negatively judged. This approval/disapproval regulator can inhibit a child from realizing their full potential.

Students gain confidence, learn to think on their feet, develop creativity and improve social skills. We empower children and look for the gifts each student brings to us. Shy youngsters open up and feel more positive! Gifted children find an outlet for their creative energy! Youngsters discover their uniqueness; the traits that make them extraordinary, in a non-competitive atmosphere! At the end of our weekly course series parents attend to share in their child's progress by viewing the class video and receiving an evaluation and consultation.

Our school year 8-week series and one-day workshops are described on this website. Our TV Acting 1, 2, 3 and 4 series offer a foundation in acting and audition skills. TV 1 and 2 series prepares students for our talent showcase where they meet talent agents. Talent showcases are an option for those seeking agency representation. Open the talent showcase page on our menu for details. We aim to empower children through our curriculum & make learning fun!
