Camp at Piedmont Veteran’s Memorial Building

TAP INTO THAT FUNNY PART OF YOU!
Our staff of pro actors and experienced educators serve young people by improving their acting, communication and audition skills and confidence. Video feedback is used to accelerate learning.

In our four-day camp students will learn acting and audition skills for on-camera, improvisation, physical comedy and short scripts. They will learn to take direction, emphasize key words, improve listening and speech skills and deliver a script with a variety of emotions. Students will explore their imaginations and learn the valuable skill of taking a risk and thinking on their feet during improvisation. Beginners are welcome. Previous training is not required. Bring lunch daily. Healthy snacks are provided. Enroll limit, 12 per age group.

A TYPICAL CAMP DAY AND WEEK!
Speech and physical warm ups start off each day followed by rehearsals and improvisation. Small class size is emphasized to ensure individual attention. (12 students per age group. Ratio: One coach and one intern per age group) Trust is built between the students and coaches. The coach gets to know the needs of each student. Each activity builds on the next, which leads the students toward achieving specific goals. • Short scripts are mailed a few days before camp for early review. Lunch and outdoor breaks ensure their comfort. On Monday introductions are performed on-camera. Rehearsals and improv continue on Tuesday. On Thursday performances are captured on-camera. On Friday improvisation continues and parents attend a camp review and live improv performances from 1:00PM-3:00PM.

Feedback from Campers

Kids on Camera TV Acting summer day camps rock! Your camp gets an A+ in my book.I loved the improv, fun scripts and creating characters. The teachers really care. They helped me become aware of my abilities and made me feel comfy on camera. I learned a lot about myself from the video feedback. I take my camp DVD everywhere to show friends.
Keely Batmale,
Larkspur, 7th Grade, Hall Middle School

Have you ever imagined seeing yourself on T.V.?  Do parents ever tell you to be quiet while you belt out your favorite songs in the shower?  If so, Kids on Camera is the right camp for you.  Kids on Camera is a fun and exciting camp run by Judy Berlin in which you spend half of your time on camera.  What you do on camera depends on the session you sign up for. It ranges from film acting to comedy, to character commercials w/costumes and improv. When you’re not spending time on camera you are working on becoming a better actor.  You will have a blast doing tongue twisters, improvisation and acting games. The second day, you get your picture taken by a real professional photographer. This is a great opportunity to practice being a model. I recommend this camp for boys and girls who would like to try acting on camera.  This is a really fun camp and I give it four stars!
Kyra Fleischman, Marin, Hall Middle School, 6th Grade

There’s no competition, just fun at Kids on Camera. The scripts and improv are cool. Everyone makes you feel so at ease and comfortable. No one laughs at you, only with you.
Alex Dunaway, Novato
