A monologue is one of the actor's essential tools. Auditions for stage, TV, film, and talent agency interviews often require a monologue performance. A monologue is a speech; an important dramatic or comedic moment from a play, film, or other literary text, performed by one actor. Monologue study enhances an actor's ability to communicate ideas, images, and feelings and to tell a convincing story.

The curriculum will focus on Improving characterization, improvisation, concentration, articulation, emotional range, communicating images, text interpretation and memorization skills. Monologues will be 1-3 minutes. This course is designed for continuing students or new students with previous training or performing experience. For those who have taken monologue study elsewhere you will discover new techniques that will deepen your knowledge of the subject with a new coach.

*Parents attend 7th last class for a course review and evaluations. Class date assigned in March.
